The planning area of development plan no. 236 covered an area of approx. 50 ha. The reason was that the company needed planning security for the further development of the Leipzig site and to create the legal planning conditions for this. It was also intended to create the possibility of being able to react flexibly to future planning scenarios and to improve the competitiveness of the Leipzig plant compared to other locations. The prerequisite for creating the legal planning conditions for the planned commercial and industrial use was therefore the preparation of a development plan.
The development plan drawn up by seecon Ingenieure takes into account a variety of concerns and ensures that the uses in the planning area are permanently secured under planning law, thus guaranteeing sustainable urban development.
