The site of the former "Zweenfurth artificial leather and oilcloth factory Alexander Schuhmann" and the adjacent green spaces are to be put to a new use. The desolation of the approx. 12 hectare site that accompanied the end of production has caused the development of a wasteland. In order to stop this progressive development, there is an urgent need for urban planning for the area.
In the course of the preparation of the development plan by seecon Ingenieure, the development of a high-quality place to live and stay is to be ensured. The intended conversion of the area into a residential quarter provides for the construction of a single-family home area in combination with multi-storey residential buildings, assisted living and a day care centre in the new building, as well as the renovation of the listed existing buildings, also in the sense of residential use. In addition to upgrading the existing buildings, the existing green areas are to be secured and upgraded, and the traffic and media development is to be planned.
In order to coordinate the engineering planning and participants involved both internally and externally, project management is required. In this context, seecon Ingenieure was commissioned with the coordination of the planning participants, organisation of the participation of the authorities, monitoring and updating of the time schedule, organisation and monitoring of deadlines as well as the plausibility check of specialised planning within the scope of two years. This was done at all times in close communication with the private and public clients.
