closing of lead works, free facilities day care centre

Saxony (Germany)

Project description

The outdoor area of the Bleichert-Werke day care centre is divided into two separate areas. The "play garden" is directly accessible from the interior rooms. The other area is located to the west of the nursery entrance and can only be accessed from outside the building. The "sensory and learning garden" is planned in this area.

A scooter track is the heart of the "play garden" and invites the children to do laps with wheels and scooters. There are three different play areas along the roller track - the U3 play area with a large sand play element and a play area with a mud kitchen. In the third spacious play area, in the north-western area, there is a green and playable climbing hill with a slope slide, climbing logs and a sand bucket - Bleichert Werke - cable car, as a homage to the industrial history of this area. The play hill is flanked by a large sand play area. Further play elements of the "play garden" are a walk-in playhouse and ground trampolines.

A generous terrace with access to the rooms offers sufficient space along the building for setting up tables and benches as well as for free play. The paved area continues around the building and connects all entrances and entrances to the day care centre.

In the separately located "Sensory and Learning Garden", a nature experience area with a barefoot path, insect hotel and fruit trees and shrubs as well as raised beds are being created. Fruit trees and shrubs as well as raised beds.
