The City of Leipzig has been participating in the eea programme since 2008 and was certified for the first time in 2011. In 2014, the recertification took place. In 2017, the City of Leipzig passed the gold certification and was successfully recertified in 2020.
The city intends to continue participating in the eea programme. The object of this offer is to support the City of Leipzig in carrying out the eea certification process by providing moderation and advisory services with the aim of further establishing the continuous improvement process in municipal energy and climate protection policy.
The services are provided in accordance with the requirements of the eea programme (process folder, catalogue of measures, action manual, etc.).
The implementation of the eea process is essentially described by the licence agreement and the eea manual. The team of consultants will take into account the individual wishes and requirements of the city when accompanying the process.
The documentation of the eea is essentially done via the licensed web-based management tool. The team of consultants produces an annual eea report, which can be presented to the political bodies and/or made available on the municipality's homepage. These documents are also suitable for accounting to the funding body.
